Dealing with colours - Part 1: Violet & Pink

Does the colour matter?

Some may say that a world without colours would be a dull place.

We don’t agree 100%, but it’s true that colours can influence our emotions, actions and how we respond to various people, things or ideas.

As Ana Rocks begun a great journey of discovering new, interesting facts about gemstones, the colour turned out to be one of the most captivating thing to explore.

The rainbow from the depths of the Earth

Stones, these wonderful creations of nature, come in a large variety of shades. All the colours of the rainbow have a correspondence in the stone world and this fact makes it very difficult to choose your favourite.

Strong colours, pale colours, they are all represented with great honour. It is captivating to find out that each and every colour has its own meaning and this is one of the reasons that different gemstones can impact the wearer in different ways.

Let’s start!

Purple & Violet

Purple and Violet have been associated with feminine grace, elegance, royalty and beauty. At the same time, this colour can also suggest magic, mystery and uniqueness.

It is a colour that has strong calming effects and it can increase your creativity and imagination. It is said that if you surround yourself with this colour energy, you will achieve peace of mind and happiness in your heart.

If you are born in February, a purple stone, Amethyst is your birth gemstone.

Known as the prince amongst planets, Mercury rules Wednesday. According to some astrologers, Amethyst is the gemstone for Wednesdays and it is a symbol of protection and purification.

Our selection of purple gemstones includes: Amethyst, Ametrine, Fluorite or Purple Agate.

If you are unsure about your purpose in life, purple crystals can help you sharpening your mental focus, keeping your mind fog-free and hopefully you’ll be able to pursue your path with clarity.

Pink

Pink is widely known as the universal colour of love. But it also represents beauty, affection, unconditional love, self-worth, acceptance and compassion. As pink is a mixture of white and red, pink brings together fiery emotions and strong passions with softened and soothed expressions of feelings.

Numerous stones are considered October birthstones and most of them are pink.

If we were to recommend a day to wear pink gemstones, we would say that Friday is the day, because this is the day ruled by Venus, the symbol of love and romance.

Our selection of pink stones includes: Rose Quartz, Pink Opal, Pink Pearls and Rhodochrosite.

They each have different meanings, but they all come together when it comes to emotional healing, attracting love and increasing the feeling of being connected to Divine Love.
